Even when I'm not working pictures avail themselves, and often I let them go without shooting them. But last night and this morning I just couldn't NOT shoot. Belvidere HS had their homecoming celebration last night complete with fireworks, obviously visible from our backyard. I shot this one from Clare's bedroom. Then on the way to a swim workout this morning at 5:30 a.m., we were getting a really nice lightning storm rolling through town, so I shot this while driving down Logan Ave. on the way to the YMCA. Most of the streaks are light posts whizzing by, but in the center of the frame leading down and to the left is a bolt of lightning about the horizon. Not my best technical effort, but I was in a hurry to get into the pool!
