Next year

I took the "S" flag down from the front of the house yesterday. Time to move on. Like Cubs fans in Chicago, hope springs eternal as MSU will return everyone from their roster this season with the exception of Drew Neitzel and Drew Naymick. Honestly? Not that bummed about Neitzel. Fun kid to watch, but rather one-dimensional. And Raymar Morgan? Please. Can we trade kids in college? Kinda wish HE was leaving instead of Naymick. At least the monster redhead could block shots and rebound. The rest of the team should be great.
It's nearly tropical with the 50 degree weather yesterday! And I can finally see the lawn again. I'm starting to get project fever again.... by the way, what happened to the promise to myself about getting a room painted over the winter? whoops.
We had a great time in DC with Karen and Jock, helping move in the last few big ticket items at their new place. It was fun to see it now that it's nearing completion. By that I mean it's very livable, but still lots of i's to dot and t's to cross.
But hey, when you're retired and have your own timetable, no worries. They still have a fantastic view of Green Bay, and the place is big enough that it feels like home. It's been weird with them not having much space anywhere since they left Burr Oak, but they've got that back now. And with the "craft loft" and the doll house up there, the girls will have endless hours of fun on each visit. Looking forward to more fun up there this year, and in much warmer weather!
