Picture-palooza

Today's installment is ripe with visuals...

First, a few from our weekend. Our party Saturday night was filled with little girls, seems most Daily Herald photographers have born girls rather than boys...

From left are Mallory Valade, John Knox, Cece Starks, Emily Valade, Natalie Starks, Sarah Knox, Clare Hankins, Summer Kunzer, Anna Kunzer, Lilly Kunzer and Katie Knox. Even with all these girls, still missing from the photo were Addie Hankins and Lilly West - probably getting whipped mercilessly in whiffleball by Joe Lewnard in the front yard. As mentioned yesterday, this is probably the only picture taken that night. 

We capped our weekend off with a fantastic dinner at the Geneva Inn in Lake Geneva, WI. We celebrated Ann's birthday and said adieu to our neighbors Dan an

d Lura Lentz who are moving to New Jersey this week. Next to me are Mark and Kathy Anderson, who live across the street from us.

We had some very good champagne tableside for Ann's birthday, a little surprise cooked up by me for when we arrived. Amazing what a 30-second phone call can do to win points! 

You can't say enough good things about the Geneva Inn. We were introduced to it by my uncle Jim Davis, and we've been there a couple times with family over the last few years. The view is fantastic, the service is always right on, and the food is amazing. Even the bread served before dinner with flavored butter is enough to make you come back. Plus, thanks to my sister Meg, I now have a new favorite drink there. Grey Goose martini, dirty, on the rocks. Fancy, huh? It tastes even better...
