Taylor Swift

We took the girls, and two of their friends, to see Taylor Swift last night at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont. It was a fairly big undertaking simply because of the drive, and because, as we learned later that evening, six is a bit early for a big concert like that. But we had a blast, the older girls were super excited throughout most of the show, and we were treated to the luxury of using the Daily Herald Media Group box seats. Besides having lots of room to roam around and not always sit in our seats, we had a waitress to make food and drinks even easier. (hopefully we didn't spoil future concerts for the girls with such luxurious surroundings) And to my surprise, Taylor was actually better live than I thought she would be after seeing a sub-par performance on SNL last year. She puts on quite a stage show, albeit designed mainly for 10-20-year-old girls. The bonus? There were open urinals at all time during the night. I'm sure that doesn't thrill all of you, but after waiting in line for porta-johns at Alpine Valley the last couple of summers, it was pretty nice. I'm putting a few images and videos here to keep from bogging Facebook down.
