Holy cow! Let's get some runs!



Clare's first game as a Pirate was Tuesday evening - and although I don't have any idea what the score was, Clare did get one hit and had some fun as well. Hits, I've discovered, are easily attained as long as you put the ball in play. I only saw a couple times where one of the kids scooped up a grounder and ran to tag first base before the runner...
I'm thinking Clare and I will brush up on some fundamentals - she's got a pretty good swing already. It's just a blast to watch her though.. like when the coach places the ball on the tee (they do that if the batter misses on 3 tries from the pitcher's mound) and then Clare looks up and asks "Can I hit it now?"
